Every party I went to during the first week before school
started something was stolen from each house. Each party was the same, people
mingling and chatting trying to make new friends and get to know one another
before everyone went back into study mode. As the nights progressed things
started to go missing, the first night it was almost five hats, I had
individuals coming up to me asking if they had seen their snapbacks, and all I
could say is that I hadn’t seen any. The next night it was a smaller party,
everyone playing games, drinking and just having fun. I remember putting my
drinks in the fridge and seeing no food, only a whole lot of beer and a block
of cheese. That night when I left, the block of cheese was missing. The next
day once again I was asked if I had seen someone take the cheese, but people
are sneaky now a days so I didn’t see anyone leave with the cheese. The third
night two things went missing; first it was sticky tab that holds up your
posters on your walls, and second it was a poster of Honey Boo Boo, from one of
the floors in residence. All of these stealing's happened in a span of three
nights, making everyone who went to these parties suspicious of each other.
You may be
wondering how I know when these stealing’s occurred and why I know exactly what
was stolen. It is because my roommates and I are the phantom stealers! Yes! We
like to steal things when we go out, but don’t you worry we have returned our
loot to the owners, and Honey Boo Boo is in her rightful place on the
wall. As for the cheese, its expensive and we’re poor university kids, so
buying new cheese hasn’t happened yet. So during the year if you hold a party,
make sure you keep your cheese locked up and hats safely on your heads or they
may be missing in the morning!
Well that's not a very nice thing to do! I'm certainly glad that I don't live in residence, or else I might fear for my belongings as well. However, the Honey Boo Boo poster deserves to be thrown in the trash.
ReplyDeleteIt was only a few hats and when we returned them they just laughed it off saying it was a good joke
DeleteSo during the year if you hold a party, make sure not to invite anyone from GNED 1403-001
ReplyDeleteI agree! It is definitely not worth the risk of losing my snapback.
DeleteWho even would have a Honey Boo Boo poster hanging in their dorm? That sounds like they needed someone to steal it.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, how did everyone react to you returning stolen goods? I assume you won't get any invites to their next party.
Honey Boo Boo was hanging in one of the hallways of res, because it was apart of the floor theme. Everyone laughed about it, and said it was a good joke, but don't worry we're invited back to there house
DeleteWhat kind of floor theme includes a Honey Boo Boo poster?

DeleteI believe it is Trashy TV Shows
DeleteTo me it sounds like you and your roomies are just having some good fun. Stealing things that are very minor then giving them back is hardly stealing! Except for the cheese, hopefully they didn't notice! Living in residence seems so fun!
ReplyDeleteYou know what we were! Res is a gong show and I absolutely love it!
DeleteI think there is saying.. second year is a charm? Actually I just made that saying up - we can always hope.
DeleteSo while the other people are mingling and trying to make new friends, you and your buddies are scouting the area, deciding what will be stolen next?
ReplyDeleteWe don't scout out the house or the people at the party. We have a good time hanging out with our friends and by the time we leave we have an abundance of things with us, it just happens.
